



Nowadays we live life on the run and time is short. Baking cakes is often something done at the weekends or for a special occasion. It is a very satisfying form of cooking: the smell of the cakes baking in the oven is both evocative and welcoming. So lets wait no more if you are one who wish to learn how to bake.
The class size is limited to a small group to ensure personalized coaching as much as possible. If you are interested, please register early.

Workshop Outline
Participants are expected to work in groups in weighing ingredients, washing utensils etc. Each participant will, most of the time, have their own cake to work on and very often are encourage to create their own designed cakes . During the workshops, you may be required to take down notes and tips for baking. Participants may have to bring along an apron. After the lessons, participants would bring home their own masterpieces.

In this workshop, students will learn how to make:
1. Victoria Sandwich Cake - This is the very basic cake that you will need to know first. This basic recipe can also be used to fill individual paper cake cases or tins for cup cakes. Very versatile.
2. Zebra Swiss Roll (Soft & Light Sponge Method) - Let us show you how you could obtain interesting zebra strips in this roll with blueberry cream.
3. Traditional Butter Cake with variations – like adding nuts, raisins, cherries, cocoa powder, cocoa & colouring to create marble cake etc. You can create many variations in this workshop.
4. Banana Cake – Very unique cake with the best and fresh ingredient. Learn how to incorporate fresh fruits into a cake.
5. Best Chocolate Brownies – Very nice chocolate brownies. You will be taught how to prepare the most beautiful ganache for the brownies.
6. Chiffon Cake – this is just between angel food cake and butter cake.. learn the correct technique in making good chiffon cake (see picture attached)
